Children and the Museum

deca i muzejThrough the program Education – A Program For Young Ones, the Museum endevors to bring contemporary art to children and promote their artistic creativity, providing a new space for the cultivation and development of the creative potential of children. Education is carried out in cooperation with elementary schools, in the exhibition halls of MSUV, so the young ones could establish a direct contact with the works and tendencies of contemporary art. A theoretical education has been organized with this purpose by the Museum in the form of guide tours and conversations with children about current exhibitions. Programs of workshops are flexible and created by Studio Mano, adapting them to the exhibition program of the Museum. Practical education includes technical assistance and support through group work, as well as raising awareness of the new techniques or creative approaches to the known techniques of visual artistic expression in order to explore new topics.

Studio Mano, led by academic artists Mia Stojanović and Dejana Nešović, has a long practice in the implementation of visual art and educational programs with preschool children, as well as with senior students, to enable active participation of children in public cultural programs.

For announcements on workshops and how to apply please call 060/43 47 356 or 064/25 94 331
